The 73rd Annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel “Fiesta” was a great event and made possible by the hard work of many people.
I would like to thank Father John for giving me the opportunity to serve and trusting in me. Thank you to the Executive Committee, everyone in the School & Parish Offices, Leads, Volunteers, Partners, Sponsors, Donors and all those who attended and contributed to the success of the festival, without you this whole operation would not be possible.
Personally, I look forward to this event each year as it truly displays the strong community that we have here at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The mission of the OLMC Festival is to raise funds to support the Parish elementary school and building fellowship within our community. I believe we all satisfied both of these principles.
From a fundraising standpoint, net income and revenue were both above the budgeted goals, 17.34% and 10.88% respectively, due to increased ticket sales and auction bids. Expenses were 1.91% over budget due to increased sponsorships and donations which positively affected the bottom line and helped offset costs. This is one of the main fundraising events for our school. All the money raised supports the continuous improvement of the campus, environment and curriculum. Overall, the event was successful and the proceeds raised will have a positive impact for Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.
Thank you again for your support and I am looking forward to next year’s festival. If you have an interest in taking on a larger festival role or would like to be a Sponsor or Donor, please contact me at email@example.com to discuss your level of interest and available opportunities.
