Activities
Home & School is a communication tool between the parents, teachers and administrative staff at Mt. Carmel. Our informative newsletter is posted each week on the school web site and reminders are sent via email to keep parents informed about upcoming school activities. Home & School also sponsors New Family Orientation Night in June and Back to School Night in August. These events provide parents with an opportunity to meet other Mt. Carmel families and their children’s teachers.

The Parish Festival is a wonderful fundraiser for the school and parish. There is a great need for volunteers at this all day activity. Home & School coordinates the parent volunteers for the classroom booths.

Home and School hosts a Welcome Back coffee on the first day of school. Throughout the school year there are more coffees for parents to get a chance to know one another.

During Catholic Schools Week in January Home and School hosts Field Day filled with fun and games for the students.

Saying “Thank You” to all the volunteers is one of the larger projects the Home & School Board sponsors. The Volunteer Luncheon, which occurs towards the end of the school year is a chance to recognize and thank all of the volunteers who offer their time and talent to the various classroom activities and committees. We believe our school is unmatched in the level of involvement by the parents, which plays an important role in the successful educational experience of our children.
