Food Handler’s Card Required for Festival Food Booths

03/08/2018  |  Festival 2018 News

Maricopa County Environmental Health Code requires all food booth volunteers at our festival to have a valid food handler’s card. Food handler’s cards cost $6.95 and are valid for three years, so if you have completed the training in the past three years, you need not take the training again until your card expires.

While bake sale volunteers are exempt, all other food booths should comply, to include snow cone, cotton candy, popcorn, and any other booths that serve food. Be sure to bring your food handler’s card with you on the day of the festival.

Please see the flyer for more information or to find out how to sign up for the training. If you have additional questions, please contact Jamon Reval, our festival chairman.
