Dear OLMC Community,

Thank you to Home & School and all of the volunteers who made the Trunk or Treat such a great event! It is so nice to have these community events back at school. It was great to enjoy an afternoon in a safe environment sharing food and fellowship! I think the adults had just as much fun as the children!

Tomorrow we will have Mass for All Saints’ Day. Please have your student wear his/her Mass uniform. Many of the young men are forgetting their pants and belts on Mass days.

The first trimester will end this week. Report cards will be emailed home on Tuesday, November 10.

We are having our Annual Taste of Kindergarten on Thursday, November 11th. If you have an incoming kindergarten student please register for the OLMC Taste of Kindergarten. If you know anyone who has a kindergartener please share this information with them. Our best form of advertisement is you! Additionally, please share it on social media.

The Night to Soar Gala is this upcoming Saturday at St. Andrew’s Church. This is our biggest fundraising event. Please come and support the school. Buy your tickets here. Thank you to all of the families who generously donated goods or services to the Live and Silent Auctions. I am really excited as there are so many wonderful things to bid on!

Please send in your parent- teacher conference slips if you have not done so already. We will schedule conferences this week and let you know by Friday. Please know you always have access to Renweb and therefore the ability to view your student’s grades at any time.

The Book Fair will be the week of November 8th through the 12th in the library. This is a great opportunity to purchase reasonably priced books for your child/children.

The Dads’ Club is hosting a Movie Night on Saturday, November 13th. They are doing a presale for pizza, soda and popcorn. Purchase food online at Dads' Club Movie Night. There will be other snacks there to sell too.

Friday is a half Day with a 12:30pm dismissal and the children may wear jeans with their Spirit Shirt. There will be Little Flowers and Little Women.

We will have a Used Uniform sale on Friday, November 19th. More information to come, but please send in your uniforms that simply do not fit so we may help other families. You are welcome to simply donate, or place tags on them for resale. You can download the tags on the website.

Finally, we are asking ALL parents to complete or update their Safe Environment Training. It is required if you wish to partake in any volunteer role at the school, and we love having parents volunteer! This includes attending field trips, helping in the classroom, pirates, Literature Studies, volunteering in the Library or assisting at any event. It is offered online here: Safe Environment Training. This is the perfect opportunity to complete in the comfort of your own home! We have A LOT of fun events planned for this year and we want you to participate.

Have a great week!

Dr. Shewbridge
